Michael Collins was the man who stayed in the orbital module, while Aldrin and Armstrong went to the surface of the moon. Things such as "I'm with you LEM"which is the name of the lunar module in the apollo missions. "Its on my mind im left behind when i should have been there" refers to Michaels lonliness as he watched his 2 partners wald into history. He was shot and killed in August 1922, during the Irish Civil War.

Women in the Irish Civil War

cobrolchain2 — 21 de Junho de 2008 — No women were included in the negotiating team which led to the 1921 Treaty. They were considered too extremist by DeValera. Cumann na mBan was strongly against the Treaty. As the Civil War broke out many women fought on the Republican side and were imprisoned by the Free Staters. Mary McSwiney went on hunger strike and was joined by her sister on the outside. As the Civil War ended many found they had no option but to emigrate.
